Prednisolone
Indications/Uses
Allergic, collagen, dermatological, GI, desquamative gingivitis, hematologic, tuberculous meningitis, ophth, resp, rheumatic & endocrine disorders; neoplastic disease; nephrotic syndrome; non-suppurative thyroiditis; hypercalcemia associated w/ cancer of sarcoidosis; trichinosis w/ neurological or myocardial involvement; prophylaxis of organ rejection.
Dosage/Direction for Use
Adult 5-60 mg/day as single or divided doses. Max: 250 mg/day. Childn 500 mcg-2 mg/kg or 15-60 mg/m2 daily in 3 divided doses. Adrenal Insufficiency Childn 140 mcg/kg or 4 mg/m2 daily in 3 divided doses.
