Hydrochlorothiazide
Indications and Dosage
Oral
Oedema
Oedema
Adult:Β 25-100 mg daily in 1-2 divided dose. Dose may be administered on alternate days or on 3-5 days each week. Max: 200 mg daily.
Child:Β 1-2 mg/kg daily as single or in 2 divided doses.Β <6 monthsΒ 3 mg/kg daily in 2 divided doses.Β <2 yearsΒ Max: 37.5 mg daily.Β 2-12 yearsΒ Max: 100 mg daily.
Elderly:Β >65 yearsΒ Initially, 12.5 mg daily, titrate as necessary in increments of 12.5 mg.

Adult:Β Initially, 12.5 mg daily, may be increased up to 50 mg daily as necessary, either alone or with other antihypertensives. Dosage is individualised and may be titrated according to patient condition. Max: 100 mg daily.
