Description
Koact 625 medicine is used in the following cases:
Upper respiratory tract infections such as: nasopharyngitis, rhinosinusitis, otitis media, tonsillitis. Lower respiratory tract infections caused by susceptible bacteria or beta-lactamase-producing bacteria: Exacerbation of chronic bronchitis, lobar pneumonia, bronchopneumonia. Genitourinary tract infections caused by strains of bacteria such as E.coli, Klebsiella…caused: Cystitis, urethritis, pyelonephritis, pyelonephritis, genital infection, postpartum infection, post-partum infection abortion or post-procedural infection prevention. Skin abscesses, boils, infectious dermatitis. Oral infections such as oral mucositis, alveolar abscess, gingivitis,… Bone infections, osteomyelitis.
The drug is taken by mouth with water, do not chew or crush the tablet when taking it. Note to increase the tolerance of the drug on the gastrointestinal tract, when used should be taken at the beginning of a meal (on an empty stomach) for the best absorption of the drug.
Dosage of Koact:
Adults and children 12 years of age and older: Mild and moderate infections: 1 tablet/time of Koact 625 and used every 12 hours. Severe infections: 1 tablet / time Koact 625 every 8 hours / time or use 1 tablet Koact 1000 / time and twice a day. Children under 12 years of age and weighing < 25 kg should be treated with the drug in suspension or sachets. Elderly: No dose adjustment is required and can be used as adults. If there are signs of renal impairment, the dose should be adjusted according to the patient’s renal impairment. Renal impairment: Adjust dose according to creatinine clearance. It should be noted: The duration of treatment should not exceed 14 days.
